Process to Schedule Trips

Trips are to be scheduled by Trip Organizers. Please visit the Trip Organization page to review the expectations of a Trip Organizer and participants.

To include a planned trip on the calendar, and to alert members, please fill out the form on the bottom of the page, or send an email with the trip details to contact@columbuspaddlingclub.com. Please include your name, contact information, and details of the trip, which may include:

  • Date(s) of the trip.

  • Location of the paddle, with information such as river classification, put-in & take-out, expected water level, etc.

  • Skill or gear requirements, such as whether or not a reliable roll is needed.

  • Any group size limitations.

  • Camping options and dinner plans.

  • Any costs to be shared by the group.

  • Instructions on how to sign up, such as via email or text, or where/when to meet up.

Trips may also be posted on the CPC facebook group page, but we encourage using our trip scheduling process to include non-facebook members.

The Trip Organizer has the ability to kindly deny participation to anyone who does not exhibit the necessary skills or gear for the trip, or is not representative of our common adventure values.
