North Branch Potomac: Barnum to Bloomington, MD (Class II - III) *** Dam Release 1000cfs ***

Paddle the North Branch near Barnum to the mouth of the Savage River in Bloomington. Distance of 6.1 miles. Somewhat continuous rapids that are mostly class 2 with with fun waves and hydraulics. Be prepared for cold water (water temp consistently 50-55 deg). Plan to do North Branch on Saturday, and Sunday we will paddle on the fly, depending on water levels. We will be camping at the Yough Stop in Confluence, PA. If interested, contact Gina or Erica.
